Tibor Kalman was exacting, impatient, brilliant and an all around visionary with a great sense of joy and a great sense of humor. He believed in the possibility of goodness and beauty.

Tibor worked side-by-side with his beleaguered yet optimistic wife, Maira Kalman, who survives him.

Maira is less impatient but believes that time is of the essence and is meant to be savored to the fullest.
